    1. What we collect

    When you upload a macro

    Uploading is always your choice. When you upload, we store:

    • the macro file itself (a standard .gdr replay file) and its size;
    • the Geometry Dash level ID and level name;
    • the macro name (the mod sets this to the level's name);
    • the author name, which is your Geometry Dash profile name at the time of upload;
    • the upload time and a version number (re-uploads are kept as new versions);
    • a randomly generated owner token, used only to check that a delete request comes from the person who uploaded the macro. It is not derived from your name or any personal detail.

    When you browse or download

    We keep a simple counter of how many times each macro has been downloaded. The counter is not linked to who downloaded it. We do not keep a list of visitors, and we do not store IP addresses in our database.

    Our servers run on Cloudflare, which, like any hosting provider, technically receives your IP address and standard request details in order to deliver the site. See "Third parties" below.

    The website

    • No cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
    • We use your browser's local storage (not cookies) for two small things: your light/dark choice, and whether you have dismissed the notice at the bottom of the page. Both stay on your device and are never sent to us.
    • The site loads two typefaces (Inter and Space Grotesk) from Google Fonts. When it does, your browser contacts Google, which receives your IP address.

    The mod, on your computer

    • Macros you record are saved on your computer in Documents\Macros.
    • Owner tokens for your uploads are saved locally in a file called .macroshare_tokens.json in that folder.
    • When a level loads, the mod asks our server how many macros exist for it, which sends that level's ID.
    • Nothing is sent to our servers unless you upload, download, browse the list or delete something.

    2. What we do not collect

    We do not ask for or store your name, email address, password, payment details, location, contacts or device identifiers. There are no user accounts. We do not sell or rent any information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

    3. How we use the information

    • to list, serve and let people download the macros that have been shared;
    • to reject files that are clearly invalid and to prevent abuse;
    • to let uploaders delete their own uploads;
    • to show aggregate figures such as the totals on the Statistics page.

    4. What is public

    Once uploaded, a macro is public. Anyone can see and download it, along with its level ID and name, the author name, the upload date, its size and its download count. Your Geometry Dash profile name is shown as the author. If you do not want that name shown, do not upload. Please never use a real name that you want to keep private as your in-game name.

    5. Third parties

    We do not share uploaded information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

    6. How long we keep things, and deleting your uploads

    Macros are kept until they are deleted. Re-uploading never overwrites an earlier upload, so older versions stay available as an archive until each one is removed.

    • To delete an upload yourself: use the Delete button next to your macro in the mod, on the same computer you uploaded from. It appears only for uploads made from that computer, because it relies on the owner token stored there. Deleting removes the file and its details from our servers.
    • If you lost the token (for example, you reinstalled Windows) or want something removed for any other reason, contact us using the details below and tell us the level and the upload date. We will remove content that is yours, or that is unlawful or harmful.

    7. Security

    All traffic between the mod, this website and our servers uses HTTPS. Owner tokens are never shown in any public listing. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    8. Children

    Geometry Dash is played by many young people. Macro Share does not ask for personal information, has no accounts and is not designed to collect information from children. The one thing that is made public is the in-game profile name, so children should not use their real name as their profile name, and a parent or guardian can ask us to remove any upload at any time.

    9. Your rights

    Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Because we hold so little, and none of it is tied to an account, the practical route is the deletion process in section 6. Contact us and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

    10. Changes to this policy

    If we change how information is handled, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Macro Share after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Terms of Service

  1. Version 1.0Current Read the full text

    Terms of Service — Version 1.0 — Last updated September 18, 2026

    1. What Macro Share is

    Macro Share lets players record Geometry Dash level macros, replay them, and upload or download them as standard .gdr files. It is an independent, fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by RobTop Games, the Geode project, or any other tool or mod mentioned on this site. Geometry Dash is a trademark of its respective owner. Names of other tools (such as xdBot, MegaHack or Eclipse Menu) are used only to describe file compatibility.

    2. Who can use it

    You may use the Service if you are allowed to under the laws where you live. If you are below the age at which you can consent to online services in your country, please use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

    3. Your uploads

    • You keep ownership. Uploading does not transfer ownership of your macro to us.
    • You give us permission to host it. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and distribute your macro file and its details (level, name, author, date) through the Service, so that other people can browse and download it. This lasts until the upload is deleted.
    • You promise you can share it. You confirm that you recorded the macro yourself or have the right to share it, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
    • It is public. Uploads, including your in-game profile name shown as the author, can be seen and downloaded by anyone.
    • Uploads are kept as archived versions; a later upload does not replace an earlier one.

    4. What you must not do

    • Upload files that contain malware, or that are not genuine macro files, or that are meant to harm, exploit or mislead other users or their computers.
    • Upload anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or that reveals other people's private information, including through the name or author fields.
    • Impersonate another player.
    • Attack, overload or probe the Service, or try to get around its validation or protection, or send automated bulk requests that degrade it for others.
    • Scrape or resell the library in a way that harms the Service or its users.

    5. Downloading and using macros

    • Use at your own risk. Uploads are automatically checked only to see whether they are structurally valid replay files. We do not review, test or scan them for safety, and we cannot promise a macro works, is accurate, or beats a level. Only open files with tools you trust.
    • Follow the rules that apply to you. Using macros in ways that break the rules of a level, leaderboard, list, community or game (for example, submitting a bot-assisted run as a legitimate completion) is your own responsibility. Macro Share does not verify or vouch for the legitimacy of any run.
    • Macros may stop working after game or mod updates.

    6. Removing content and ending access

    You can delete your own uploads as explained in our Privacy Policy. We may remove any content, and limit or block access to the Service, at any time and without notice if we think it breaks these terms, is harmful, or if we are legally required to. If you believe something on the Service infringes your rights, contact us with the level, the upload date and the reason, and we will look into it promptly.

    7. The Service is provided "as is"

    Macro Share is a free, hobby project. To the fullest extent the law allows, we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will always be available, error-free, secure, or that any macro is safe or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of it at any time.

    8. Limits on our liability

    To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, progress, accounts, rankings or reputation, arising from your use of the Service or any macro downloaded through it. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

    9. Third-party services

    The Service relies on third parties such as Cloudflare for hosting. Their own terms and policies apply to their services. Links to other sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for them.

    10. Changes to these terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date when we do. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
